Coach Jose Ulloa

Jose Ulloa was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, and is proudly Ecuadorian. He played for Everton America from age 9 to 15, then for CFC Chelsea Piers from 15 to 18 under Ross Stride, now Head Technical Scout for the NWSL’s Kansas City Current. He played varsity all four years at Trinity Catholic High School and went on to be a four-year starter in midfield at Elms College in NCAA Division III, where he also earned his B.S. and M.S. in Accounting. Off the field, Jose works as a Senior Accountant.

Before joining Beachside, Jose coached multiple age groups at Eastern FC in Westchester

County, NY. He holds the U.S. Soccer Grassroots 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 licenses and is working toward his USSF National “D” license, with the C and B to follow, and he is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Jose believes in building out from the back, attacking forward and pressing together, and in giving players room to learn the game, not just the drills. He knows he still has plenty to learn, and he measures his work by whether his players keep improving and love the game a little more after every session.
