“Beachside Juniors has been fantastic for our three kids (ages 12, 10 and 8). The program is an upbeat, skills-enhancing, and fun experience, yet, importantly, it also introduces a sense of training discipline and structure.
The coaches are great with the kids. Our children have certainly found that Juniors has deepened their passion for the game!”
– Guy and Jillian Cartwright – Old Greenwich, CT
Beachside Juniors is our training program for younger players, and is staffed by some of our club’s most experienced coaches. It offers young soccer enthusiasts an environment to improve their skills while having fun in a game they love to play.
It also helps prepare them to take advantage of higher level playing opportunities as they grow. This program is designed to complement players’ regular town travel team activity.
Boys and Girls Ages 5-13 are welcome.

Through an instructive, fun, and nurturing environment, training sessions will focus on technique, small sided play, agility training, and games. It is our goal that at the end of this program each player will have gained more confidence with the ball, as well as an enhanced desire to continue to develop their soccer game.
At the younger ages, we feel that it is important that soccer be viewed more by the player and parent as a game to be played and enjoyed with friends, as opposed to the all-too-often focus on winning and making teams.
At older ages, through a competitive and yet nurturing environment, training sessions will focus on technique, small sided play, agility training and leadership skills. It is our goal that by the end of this program, each athlete will have gained a clearer understanding of individual purpose and vision within and outside the game of soccer. This vision and purpose will enable the athlete to make better decisions, and lead peers to similar places. This is the understanding that will greatly enhance each players individual and team performance.
As a player in this program, you must be willing to take on challenges that will push your game to a higher level. Training sessions will be structured, competitive and high energy, with the goal of developing skills that will help you navigate and overcome many of the obstacles you will come across as a high level player, both on and off the field.
As a parent, this program is an opportunity to learn more about the playing and training options outside of travel soccer. This program is also geared towards educating and supporting parents on their roles through the higher levels of soccer competition in the state. Issues ranging from communication with coaches, parent responsibilities, realistic parent/player expectations, the high school game, premier and US Soccer Academy programs, and balancing academics will be touched on.
