Beachside North and Beachside South – FAQ

For the Fall 2017-18 , Beachside Soccer Club will expand to offer Beachside North & Beachside South programs or our younger boy teams: Ages: 2007, 2008 & 2009.

Q: Why is Beachside operating in two locations for these boys age groups?
A: Our 7v7 and 9v9 program for young players over the past two years has proved remarkably popular and successful. We want to offer this opportunity to more players and also reduce the weekday travel burden on parents.

Q: Where will these groups practice and play.
A: We plan for the South group to train in Stamford at Trinity High School, and for the North Group to train in Easton. Games will likely be in the same locations but that will depend on field availability week to week.

Q: Will you field multiple playing squads each week as in the past?
A: Yes – we expect each group to field 2 squads each weekend.

Q: Which tryout should we register for?
A: Please register for the program closest to you geographically.

Q Can we come to both sets of tryouts?
A: No – please register for only one of the two programs for your age group.

Q: Can boys tryout to “play up” above their age group?
A: All players should come to their own age group tryout. Beachside does on occasion move very experienced players up: Our coaching staff makes all final decisions for player placements after tryouts.
